Jack ran upstairs to show me his latest origami creation... After a lot of praise, he said, "Mom, get the camera; are you going to put this on the blog?" So here you go folks; this is Jack's Easter Bunny impression. I really wish I would have taken a picture of Tyler wearing the bunny ears - that was funny (read: big head, little ears :))!
We had a lovely Easter. Tyler was out of town until Saturday afternoon; we watched conference, and met Tyler after the Priesthood session for dinner. Bad planning on my part. We got home around 9 pm and forced Sam to wake up and paint Easter eggs. Normally we do this on Friday, but Tyler wasn't home and me + 3 boys painting Easter eggs = one to four people crying. The Easter bunny did a great job hiding eggs and delivering more candy than any human should eat. We are all surprised that Sam did not throw up.
Changing subjects... Does anyone have one of these?
A kid who can find a marker after you think you have hidden all of the markers. A boy that looks at you and grins proudly displaying his art work while you are trying to discipline him. A boy who doesn't want you to miss anything and proudly lifts his shirt to show you there is more.
A boy who does all of this while you are literally 4 feet away from him working away enjoying his good behavior - yeah right.
Move forward 10 minutes after these pictures. Sam starts screaming that his eyes hurt. I look over and there is black smeared all over his face. I told him to stop rubbing his eyes, because he was rubbing marker in them. I ran him to the bathroom and wiped his eyes with a cold rag. 20 minutes later, he is still screaming. The best part is that he is screaming, "I can't see, I can't see!", but he wont open his eyes. I keep telling him, "Open your eyes.", but he keeps screaming that he can't see. Every once in a while, he yells, "I need Tylenol!" It is really hard not to laugh at him right now.
Don't worry about us. I called Tyler; he is coming home for lunch, and he is bringing me a coke. I will survive!
That is some serious body art. If I had three boys, I would probably need three cokes a day.
ReplyDeleteThanks for making me laugh and laugh and laugh and think back to 25 years ago when Jessica found a sharpie and drew a smiley face on her stomach that would not come off! Love your posts!
